Jerry "Pops" Lenzen is Kevin's dad and main backer. His duties with the team include being the chief mechanic and team leader. Pops' experience in auto racing is unmatched by anyone on the crew. He has been involved with the L3 Team from the beginning providing funds to keep the car on the track and his mechanical knowledge to keep the car running. While Pops is not able to attend all the races anymore, he still keeps involved by helping Kevin during the week in the shop back in Wilmington. All decisions about the team go through Pops as he is also the owner of the L3 machine.
